Cutting test with a non-stick coated ring blade *Video available.
By applying a non-stick treatment to the blade, it is possible to cut cleanly without breaking★Web consultations are available!
IMD coating is a surface treatment technology that combines the wear resistance of thermal spray coatings with the non-stick properties of coatings. It can be applied to various substrates, including metals (iron, stainless steel, aluminum) and CFRP. In this instance, we applied IMD coating to a special steel ring blade and conducted a cutting test on adhesive tape rolls. While a standard special steel ring blade would break at the cutting edge, the treated special steel ring blade was able to cut straight without breaking. *For more details, please watch the video or download the PDF.
